SCA in the Rain
2002-03-04 - 9:24 a.m.

Went to the War College this weekend. It was raining (a lot). That and the distance kept most folks away. There are some really good folks in Border Vale. It is hard for them to get exposure to the rest of the Kingdom. So, Les and I went to support the event. He thought they might like the MOL support and I thought I would just try to stay DRY!

Spent a large part of the day in doors. Got to spend some time with Mistress Signy who is autocratting the Meridies event on the Border down here. It will be fun and she really would like to have Atlantia participate. They have been to three events in SC this winter to get the word out. Had a nice tea for Her Highness and the ladies present. There was much food left over so after Court the menfolk were invited to share. They looked rather pitiful watching us eat. Got to spend some time with Isabel and her ladies. They are all so sweet and funny that it is good for the soul.

The folks on the field had an abbreviated day. Too much like slip and slide I guess. Walked the field with the autocrat for May Crown. Will be a tight site but is a nice sized field.

We left in the pm only to find out from Katie that Christie was coming home early from her Girl Scout camping trip. I was very annoyed that the leader did not call us on the cell (the number we asked her to call) but I guess that is cause she was frazzelled after a night of soaked cold preteens. I remember those days!

So Christie is home today...?strep throat. I "volunteered" to stay with her stretching my weekend to four days.

If her temp is up this pm we are off to the doc.

Glad to hear that A/S was great and congrats to Jake!
