Sometimes Things Just Fall into Place

So the last day was FULL but one of those charmed days when every thing at work goes easily. People return pages within minutes, concerned parties all are collaborative and professional, inservice research is facilitated by instant internet access to appropriate articles.

So, we went from no plan for a subset of patients' needs to a cohesive multi-department plan complete with staff inservices, physician driven protocols and management buyin.

Amazing and just the way you always knew it COULD happen.

In other news, still prepping for the two worst things that can happen to a staff educator...our accreditation survey following rapidly with mandatory training of 300 ancillary department employees and 300 heart hospital employees. November and December will be special.

But even that is falling into place. All the employee files will be reviewed by tomorrow. Any missing documentation will be obtained from the right datasources next week. Staff are responding to training.

The transition training plan I designed has been accepted. Found out today that I will have tables and chairs in time to put the training heart monitors up for the training. Yes, that is pretty essential but again...collaboration does not have to happen. Finally talked to the person who can get me electronic fire protection plans to use as maps for safety training. With a few late nights, all should be well.

Local event this weekend. Looking forward to it especially time with Muirgheal and Cormac. With all my travel and work lately, I feel the need to connect. Les and I will cabin. Kate is coming home to drive her sister to hair appts and the Chorus formal. (I already did the makeup, dress, accessories planning with her last weekend).

Then of course, Crown followed by Seneschal Staff Meeting followed rapidly by Thanksgiving and Unevent. Whew! Looking forward to Christmas break before we take the plunge in the New Year and move into the new building!
