Flippin Calendar
2005-06-24 - 7:39 a.m.

The calendar keeps flipping along like it was left out in the wind. "Vacation" starts next week but first I have twelve evals to do on the Apprentices, a birthday celebration for Christie, packing for four for a week, a drive to St. Simon for two days and then from there to Richmond. Hard on the heels of the 4th, my interns will show up, eager and excited and expecting the same from me.

Daunting.

In other home news, Kate went to orientation yesterday. University is latin for money at every turn. $60 for Kate/$30 for Les to go to orientation, $50 for metriculation (if we get you at the start we do not have to worry about WHETHER you will graduate), tuition went up $400 and her mandated meal plan too.

Still, she came home with a great schedule. English 102 MWF at 11 and then Drawing Studio at 8am, University 101 at 11, Art Hist at 2pm and a computer art class at 530 on TTH. Makes for a long day but she has tons of art work time on MWF and can travel which I never could do with Friday pm classes.

Saw a dorm room but not hers. There are seven floors between her and E. :-)

She came home excited but exhausted.

SCA percs along. Something a little different each month often related to misinformation, poor communication and passive aggressive behavior. This week I even had someone apparently confuse Atlantia with the Aquaman comics. Sometimes, you really do have to say, "Wow."
