My life is a series of work tasks...home, career and SCA so in order to provide an update I will resort to writing about the kids again.

Tonight is model UN and Christie is representing Kenya. The irony of the palest white chick in her class representing a proud African nation is not lost on her. Her resolution though is well researched and passionate and up for consideration for adoption (one of the "prizes"). They also will debate each other and this is where her challenges will lie. She is so passionate she is having to practice not provoking defensive posturing. Yeah...not an easy concept to convey to an adult much less a 14 year old.

Kate has her first morning of student teaching today...8th grade art. She looked very nice and I only had a moments concern that she would come home with tempura paint on her new dress kahki's. I hope she enjoys it and the experience continues to feed her interest in her chosen career. If not, certainly better to know now!

The cat is temperamental and has entered one of his people stalking periods. Perhaps he is affected by the long winter confinement but it makes for periodic drama when he insists on walking right where you are and swatting and hissing because you will not yield right of way.

KASF this weekend. A brief curia then a day to meet and greet. Will be lovely. See you there.
