Un Events and Anniversaries

So another Unevent has come and gone. It is always a busy event but needless to say more so since I took my current job! So first the traditional Best and Worst.

BEST

Hosting Unevent in Hindscroft with Ceridwen as event coordinator-Hindscroft has been so generous and Ceridwen so efficient that I have received nothing but positive feedback two years in a row.

The Seneschals at our meeting-What a fun and dedicated group. We accomplished a lot but with good humor and really great feedback.

The Pelicans-Yep, I think they are pretty neat folk and it is always interesting to watch and listen. At Unevent we usually have both our Monarchs and Heirs and the interchange with them is often the best part. Besides, you don't get too many of us together in one spot too often!

The GOofS Business Lunch-We always eat together and have an opportunity to share important stuff coming up. These are tremendously gifted and hard working people. While we are really connected well online we often do not get to touch base this way. Always interesting and productive. Thank you Idonea, it was wonderful.

The Regalia Committee meeting with the FinComm-What a great group of people. I love a productive and collaborative meeting.

Office Hours-Even that was great this year. The Deps were there and really supportive of their branch reps. Lots of good questions and feedback.

Our Baronage-They are an inspiration. They are funny, interesting, talented and dedicated with tremendous hearts. I had a really nice "meeting" with them and some of their counterparts.

Curia-Quick and Easy, Down and Dirty. Just the right amount of feedback to generate understanding but still move us through quickly.

Our Monarchs and Heirs-As you go through the day they are pulled in a thousand directions and they remain in good humor.

The Best of the Best? Leaving Unevent a bit weary but really proud of the group we serve and loving phone calls.

WORST

Never enough energy.

No is sometimes as hard to say as it is to hear.

A crack in the facade.

Our nineteenth wedding anniversary is Tuesday. So many of these weekends are spent partly at Unevent but then, we have 364 x 19 years to demonstrate how important that first December 7th was to our lives.

This year, a dear friend offered to take the girls (and save them from Unevent!) and allow us to have one evening to ourselves. Thank you Nia. We love you as do the girls. Thank you for being so caring.

So later we were reunited for dinner. Several of our friends were still at Unevent when we left and they made the crazy long trek back to Crazy Fire for laughter and all you can eat of pretty much what you want (except Cilantro). I love to laugh and it was wonderful to see friends from different aspects of our lives all laughing together. I guess that is the common theme.

Met folks for brunch and got to do some of our web work, catch up on meetings we missed and yes, laugh some more.

Nappy goodness in the sun on the way home then a good steady hour and a half of work and I am essentially caught up. (at least for this week!).

Missed you guys if you were not there.

Hmmm, is that a green and gold pretzel I see?
