Heart Smart

The last group of four at clinincal on Friday started with a bang. One of them had slept poorly and not eaten so yep, you guessed it...she fainted and fell like a log in the hall during report. She did okay and as she twisted slightly as she fell she landed half side so she avoided breaking either her nose or her collarbone. That was a bit of drama though.

Saturday

Katie took her SAT...she thinks she did well on the comprehension but maybe not so well on the math (just never has been her strong suit). We went shopping for Christie's birthday as we only have one more weekend til the trip. Found some terrific bargains and so we were able to get a bunch of too cute stuff...love the tiny daughters...almost like playing life-size Barbie! (Kate would SO hate that!)

Missed D'Emma on their way through as we were still shopping but got home in plenty of time to relax a bit in the afternoon. Christie and Les got home pretty late as they stayed to help clean up. I just don't rest well if some of us are not home...gonna be quite an adjustment when the girls move out.

Sunday

The fam went to see Raising Helen. Very cute but poignant. Reminded the girls of grieving over their GMom...they said it also reminded them how much better it is now than then. Love the guy who plays the Lutheran Pastor boyfriend...he used to be on Northern Exposure. Quite the cutey.

Finished the day with shopping for Les's birthday which is midweek and then headed home for a quiet evening before we started the work week.

Les is cooking "Medieval Food" for my Heart Smart class this week...they are really so much fun. I dreaded starting the program but have found it a boost professionally and emotionally.
