Friends and Arched Brows

I have some amazing people in my life. Frankly good and bad...but thankfully mostly good.

There is little in life more tender and sweet than the support of a true friend. There is also great joy in having friends with whom you can laugh out loud or chuckle til you wheeze.

Thank you for all the loving support.

Prom prep continues with yesterday a trip to the spa for eyebrow waxing. A truly sensuous experience where you lie on a padded, warmed table in a dimmed room with soft music and a bubbling fountain. The aesthetician first massages your forehead and temples with scented oils then applies warmed wax. After the removal you get another massage and then cleansed with warm towels and chamomile water.

Kate says it is worth the trip and not near what she thought it would be.

So tomorrow is hair, manicure/pedicure and makeup. Dad went and checked on the boutonniere and ordered a backup orchid corsage because they did not have an order there for her.

The black, silver and velum after prom invitations are out and RSVPs are in.

My last concern is letting the young man drive my daughter to and from prom. I am more than a bit anxious about it but fully realize that you can't be a cool Mom doing all this and then saying you want to pick them up at Midnight.

So, say a little prayer before you go to sleep on Saturday that she and her friends are safe and that her mom is happily asleep by 0100.

Have a wonderful time at Coronation...I am looking forward to hearing all about it.
