I was talking with Nia this week and told her there was very little that looked as pitiful as a palmetto tree covered with ice...the umbrella of the fronds all weighed down and coated with ice like a downed beach umbrealla, or a mushroom or a penis.

Yep, I said the "P" word...and wrote it too. So the palmettos have thawed and become less phallic so I guess we have survived this particular ice storm.

Had a long chat with a friend last night. His life is as busy as mine so we had not connected in so long. We talked about this and that and were able to realize we often have similar opinions on things even though we are very different.

It was a really nice closure to a stressful week.

So today I have ECG class...old content, familiar now from many tellings...hope I have some interesting participants to spice it up.

Then I will hop in the car and run to the beach for a girls weekend out. Coffee in the morning switching to wine midday and cocoa and kahlua at night...must remember to drink water!
