A little of this, a little of that

Well, my friend's pacer insertion went well yesterday and he will be going home sometime in the next couple hours. They are understandably nervous about how it will be to live with the pacer...will it work? will I know when it does? will I still have times when I feel faint? is that the pacer or just feeling faint?

I can reassure but what they need is time. Hard adjustment at any age but for a man at 33.... Still, he does not have to give up much. He cannot arc weld and he had wanted to learn that to work on some projects but he can fence in a month as long as he protects the pacer site with rigid protection. Won't hurt the pacer but pinching skin between a metal poker and a metal pacer would hurt like the dickens.

Gonna see how it goes tomorrow for the drivers exam. May have to wait on a SSN card to come...in that case I will not be at Performers. Les just can't see driving up with me and there are so few folks down here that travel as much as we do. I am trying not to be sad.

Nikulai and Nia were snowed in at Theo and Rolands'and told very funny stories of bonfires built in the fireplace and excursions to the store. Glad they all had each other to laugh with for the long weekend.

My Ymir cider burn has finally healed and may not be that bad of a scar. Still too pink to tell but fortunately the sun is not an issue right now so it will have good healing time before the spring.

Looking forward to KASF. Our Baronial Chatelaine is trying something new and trying to set up a salon where new folks can get away from the crowd but still meet, chat with one or two experienced folks. If you are coming please let me know if you would be willing to come by for a bit to chit chat with whoever is there or act as a resource to someone who has compatible areas of interest...we will try to match people up a bit without imposing too much on your time.
