Yep, I am a "Girlie-girl" acccording to Theo and apparently rearing at least one more for the next generation.

Christie went to get her glasses yesterday. She was okay with it as her best friend wears glasses so they now have one more thing in common. She did very well and only got a little freaked out when they used the dilation drops. She was quite a bit near sighted. 20-70 and 20-80. More than enough to cause her headaches but we will perhaps have more follow up as she had some optic nerve/disc pressure in one eye as well.

In any case, off to look for frames. She wanted silver as "that matches more of my jewelry" but we all agreed, "ick" when she tried them on. Tried on nearly every frame in the store just to "be sure."

Surprisingly, she looked best with thin dark pewter or black wire frames. So, since she is 12 and we don't want to be p.o'd later, we went ahead and got two pairs. Little black wire octagons and dark pewter semi ovals.

To cap things off we purchased a hard case in pink suede with leather handles (Yep like a tiny handbag) and another case in her school's dark green.

Some people look odd when they first get glasses...Christie looks like she should have worn them her whole life.

Christie pronounced her glasses, "seriously CUTE!" Sometimes, it is just too much fun being a Mom.
